Services

One of the most important parts of evaluation of Multiple Sclerosis is initial clinical consultation and subsequently proper follow up evaluations. At the MS Center of California we take pride of providing comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis consultation to the patients locally within the state of California, nationally (throughout the United States), as well as internationally. The center has been recognized throughout the United States as one of the of the top referral centers for evaluation and proper management of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Our services are offered to our patients as well as patients referred by other physicians.

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, Dr Bandari will personally evaluate you by obtaining comprehensive medical history, review of the prior work-up including MRIs, laboratory work-up and any other medical work-up. You will receive comprehensive neurological examination and extensive discussion of medical complains, findings and formulates proper further evaluation and treatment plans.

Follow up

The frequency of the follow ups are on the case by case basis however it depends on the multiple factors such as severity of the disease, respond to treatment and needs for follow ups.

Infusion Services

We are proud to provide infusion services at the MS Center of California. Infusion Services are available to the patients of the MS Center of California as well as patients referred by other neurologists.

Trigger Point Injections

Trigger points are the areas within the muscle tissues which cause symptoms such as muscle tightness and pain. Trigger point injections may reduce the above symptoms and provide temporary relief.

Occipital Nerve Block

Provided to the MS Patients with these symptoms as well as other patients with Occipital Neuralgia (a type of chronic headache which pain typically arises from the neck or the base of the skull with radiation to the temporal side of the head), a number of simple injections are given at the occipital region and temporal side of the head to alleviate the symptoms.

Spasticity Injections

Approximately 80 percent of MS Patients and 70 percent of patient with other upper motor neuron conditions such as Post Stroke Spasticity, Cerebral palsy, Post Traumatic Brain or Spinal Cord injury suffer from spasticity and muscle spasm. Conventional oral medications have limited results. At the MS Center of California we offer FDA-approved injections which may alleviate the symptoms of spasticity and muscle spasms in patients with MS and other conditions mentioned above.

Physical and Occupational Therapy

Physical, occupation, speech therapies are available at multiple locations and facilities in the area and within the campus of the Neurosciences institute.

Psychological Services

Psychological evaluation and therapies are essential parts of evaluation for some of the patients. Certified Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists are available at the center and are closely affiliated with the MS Center of California.

Electrophysiology Services

At the MS Center of California diagnostic services such as Visual Evoke Potential (VEP), Somatosensory Evoke Potential (SSEP), and Brain Auditory Evoke Potential (BAEV) are available.

Radiological Services

Multiple highly advanced MRI centers and services are available to patients referred by the MS Center of California. A team of expert and highly trained neuro-radiologist will review and compare the MRI’s and other neuro-imaging work up.

Laboratory Services

Multiple locations for laboratory work-up are available within the area and outside the area.
